Ok.... can you locate your /var/log/nvidia-installer.log
and post it. But before try the following:

./nvidia-installer --kernel-include-path= /usr/src/kernel-headers-2.4.18-bf2.4/include

try it once like that, and if it doesnt work try:
./nvidia-installer --kernel-include-path= /usr/src/kernel-headers-2.4.18-bf2.4/include/

notice the / at the end. Of course use your version of your linux kernel header, and specify the source, dont use symbolic links to point to the include of your kernel header.

since when can you execute .run with ./ and not sh???

now it has the headers but says it can't build

what does it say exactly? can you post the log file?

hmm, i have a /usr/bin/nvidia-installer
now that you mention it I have no idea where it came from. I guess it was installed the first time I used the nvidia .run file...
opps..
