DAx 56 PU External Modem not functioning in Fedora Core 2
 

hi,

Recently I have installed the Fedora Core 2. I have External USB Modem of DAX Model No. DAX56PU which is not functioning in FC2. I have Contacted manufacturer of the modem and received the drivers for the same.

After installing the Drivers, my modem is not recognised in FC2. i dont know what is the problem??

when i turn on the Machine and after logging in, modem light is not getting on.

My linux kernel is 2.6.5-1.358

Another Thing is my Sound card is also not detected in FC2.

My Machine Configuration is as Below:

Intel Pentium IV @ 2.4 Ghz
Intel D845 EBG2 Original Mother Board with On board AC97 Sound Support.
1 Gb DDR RAM
80 GB HDD Samsung
Nvidia GEForce 2 AGP with 64 Mb Ram
Dax 56PU External USB Modem.

please guide me to proceed ahead, so i can use internet and Listen Sound in FC2.
