d-link dwl-g122 wireless


i give up
i own a (d-link dwl-g122 ver c1 wireless usb adabter)
and having trouble to run it on linux
i am using mandriva 2007 distro
where can i find its driver 4 linux or how to make it work?

Hi,

D-Link removed the Drivers, I used to download and moved them to a ftp-server:
ftp://ftp.dlink.de/dwl/dwl-g122/driver_software/
did You check that ?

i didn't check for that thanx 4 the link
but the driver is an exe extension Which doesn't work on linux
any other Alternative's?

From my Googling, it looks like that card has a Ralink chipset, so check out the Linux Rt2x00 drivers.

That site won't tell you what chipset you've got, you'll have to dig that out on your own. Try looking at the output of lspci and see if it is listed there (also try lsusb). If neither of those work, you might try installing lshw, which is a good program to investigate your hardware, particularly the gui version called gtk-lshw. Of course there is always Google as well.
