cx8800 error
My syslog is giving errors related to cx8800.(see below) Through most of the threads in LQ and numerous google searches. It seems to be bttv has an audio debug that is on by default. Now a website I found lastnight says to edit a line to your modprobe.conf file I tried that but still find the error in my syslog. So now what? Ohh and my sound in Tvtime sucks all I get is static. I have a Hauppagge (actually ATI Tv Wonder Pro) Tv card installed on the system with a phillips audio tuner. The static comes from the card not my Sound card" which is an Intel Ac97". When I plug my speakers dirrectly into the Tv card you can here it wants to work but the static is to loud and drowns out the sound from the tuner card. The 2.6 kernel in Mandrake 10.1 is supposed to have all the v4l2 sh*t built into the kernel right? Well then how do you configure bttv? Through the kernel or the drivers? Any help would be great. But from what I have read on LQ no one else has had any luck with these cards either. And alot have givin up. But my picture quality is better than my actual tv plus who wants a peice of hardwre on there system they can't use. Ohh yeh and ATI sucks. Buy Nvidia!!!!!!!!!
