custom geforce video card--custom module?

i won this ebay item:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...e=STRK:MEWN:IT

and installed it in my computer... now i can't load x in linux! do i need to start a regular geforce 2 mod or will it be more complicated? as you can see it has been expanded to some extent.

Did you use the nVidia drivers from nvidia.com? Those ones work best. If you have used those, try doing this command as root:
modprobe nvidia

i tried running modprobe nvidia and then launching x... no dice. is it possible that i do not have the drivers? would modprobe return an error message if so? either way i'll try downloading the newest (ia32 or ia64?), but i'm still wondering if the fact that my card has been tweaked is going to interfere...

thanks

I hardly think anyone has actually tweaked with the core chip of the card except perhaps for changing the speed at which it runs but that should not matter. IA32 is what you want unless you are using a 64bit CPU (you would probably know if you did).
