CUPS Network printer problems in LMDE/Debian
Hey,
I'm running LMDE XFCE and trying to set up my HP LaserJet 1010 in CUPS. It's connected over the network via an Apple Airport Express, using Bonjour protocol.
In Ubuntu 11.10 i just set it up with CUPS and it worked fine.
In LMDE, i can find it in CUPS and add it, but it doesn't print (just stucks at a percentage level like 27% or 41%).
I've tried with different drivers - the "HP LaserJet 1010 - CUPS+Gutenprint v5.2.7" that worked in Ubuntu - printing stops at a certain percent. Also tried the HP LaserJet 1010 hpijs v3.11.5 - doesn't even start to process printing, job goes straight to "stopped".
Packages hplip and hpijs are installed.
I've tried installing hplip-3.11.7, 3.11.10 and 3.11.12 manually (plus the additional plugins) but no difference. Only the "hpijs 3.11.x" driver shows up in CUPS, not any "hplip 3.11.x", don't know if this matters.
In HP Device Manager, no printers show up when I select network printer.
In CUPS, I also tried adding a "local" HPLIPS printer with address socket://10.0.0.1 (my routers IP) and tried with several drivers, but same result.
What to do!?
CUPS finds printer at this address
dnssd://Hewlett-Packard%20hp%20LaserJet%201010._pdl-datastream._tcp.local/
