Ctrl key stopped working

Hi everyone

This strange thing happened to me again as it has a few times before (with other distros), that one of the keys suddenly doesn't work. I just doesn't. I don't think I did anything special to trigger that bug that made the left Ctrl key not work. It has to be a bug, but has anyone had such a problem before?

You weren't eating or drinking at the time were you...?

What was the last thing you did before it stopped working ?

Cheers,

mj

You could try using the showkey command to see if any code at all is being sent. If not, perhaps the key itself is going bad and you need to replace the keyboard.

Here is a link to a howto that you might want to read through:

The Linux keyboard and console HOWTO
