Crystal 3D CS4327B in a Dell Precision 410 with Mandriva 2006

I have a Dell Precision Workstation 410 computer with an integrated sound card. According to the website, the card is a Crystal 3D CS4327B. I can't get it working with Mandriva Linux 2006. I've tried running sndconfig and selecting Crystal CS423x sound chip (the closest one), then using the default settings. I hear the sample, but still get an error from ARTS saying the device default does not exist. The file /dev/dsp does not exist when I use ls, either. There is a file called /dev/dspW. Do I need to configure Linux to use this? How do I get it to work?
