My girlfriend got me a Creative Webcam Live! for Valentine's Day (don't ask =P) and it works fine under WinXP (not without plenty of installation headaches and mounds of proprietary software with questionable functionality) and I'd like to also be able to use it under linux. I'm currently using SUSE 10.1 Alpha 4 but I'll hopefully be updating to 10.1 Beta 4 soon, so hopefully if there are any dev build related issues that will be solved.
I can't seem to find any drivers that will work and god forbid a corporation make them, so if anybody knows what to do that would be great.
I'm relatively new to linux and have had enough problems just trying to get the software I want to run and haven't bothered with hardware, nevermind that the webcam is the first peice of non-standard hardware I've procured, so try to spell things out for me if you can or point me to somewhere that will do so.
I appreciate any help that anybody can offer.
