iam a newbie to linux. i have just finished loading red hat linux 7.2 into my system , which already has got win me
iam not able to use my modem which is a
creative modem blaster v.90 pci di5655 and is found to be at comm3 by winme
i have doen a lot of searches and have come to the conclusion that this modem is NOT supported as a linux hardware. i have also noticed that other people have had the same problem.
i would be very happy if someone would tell me they have found a solution to this problem

thank you for your reply. however, it'll take me at least a week to test this procedure since i have come back to college.(which is very very far away from home) . i'll try it out and reply to you
p.s. - when i loaded mandrake, it recognized it as an "ess" modem. but i couldnot connect to the net inspite of this. sir, what do you think was the problem then?
