CPU temp. sensors for A7N8X/Athlon 2500+

I just installed a new ASUS A7N8X and an AMD Athlon 2500+ (Barton), and I'm trying to monitor the CPU temperature from within Linux. From what I've been able to gather, lm_sensors is the way to go. My googling seemed to reveal that this family of AMD processors is supported, but I haven't gotten it going. Anybody know what module? I compiled both i2c and lm_sensors into the kernel (used their patches). sensors-detect finds nothing. I'm using kernel 2.4.21 if that helps. Thanks.
