CPU Scaling on Intel Atom 330?

Has anyone got cpu scaling on an Intel Atom 330 Processor work?

This is my error message, though the file is there:

# modprobe acpi-cpufreq
FATAL: Error inserting acpi_cpufreq (/lib/modules/2.6.26-1-686-bigmem/kernel/arch/x86/kernel/cpu/cpufreq/acpi-cpufreq.ko): No such device

I have been trying to compile my own kernel to support cpu scaling, but no luck so far.

Thanks for the reply amani.
Do you have an Intel Atom 330?
Have you been able to compile a kernel that supports acpi_cpufreq for it?

Unfortunately I didn't see anything that really specific to the Atom 330.

The Atom isn't listed in the Processor Family options when I compile the kernel. I've tried 2.6.29.3, which I believe is the latest, twice. Once with generic-x64 as the processor family, and another as core2. Neither of them work and give me the same error message.
