CPU Processing Speed Problem

Hello. Newbie here. I'm using MSi u270 dual boot with Windows 7 and CrunchBang 11 Waldorf. My CPU Model is AMD E-300 APU with Radeon HD Graphics. My CPU speed is currently set to minimum which is 780mhz but I know that the maximum capacity of my processor is 1.3ghz. Does anybody know how to fix it? Images are provided. Thanks!

I don't know about CrunchBang, but newer kernels usually automatically adjust the CPU speed as the system load changes. Try using a system monitoring program (try Conky) while you are doing actual work to see if the speed is adjusted.

Have you tried checking cpuinfo when the processor is under load? I find that cpuinfo reports the speed of the processor at the time it is run so if the system is idling it reports the lower speed.
