Couple of isses I need help with!

My system specs... AMD Duron 700 Mhz, Dual booted with Redhat 7.3 Kernal linux-2.4.18-3.. I think with WinXP 320 megs of ram, two 30 gig drives, 3dfx Voodoo Card and SoundBlaster Audigy Card, usb mouse, cd writer.. blah blah.. usual stuff.

Two issues.

1) This computer didnt come with a modem so I had to use a spare one. So I removed my old Rockwell card thinking it would work, and trying another one. When it boots up to check for new hardware, it detects the modem and wants to configure it. Now to set it up so that I can use it in KDE, it wont work.
Running hsfconfig I get this kind of modem
Conexant HCF 56k Data/Fax/Voice/Spkp Modem (rev 8)

and this

Conexant Systems neither distributes nor maintains this package.
PLEASE DO NOT CONTACT CONEXANT REGARDING THIS SOFTWARE!!!
If you require assistance or need more information, go to:
http://www.mbsi.ca/cnxtlindrv

Selected PCI VendorID=127A DeviceID=1003
and INF file /etc/hcfpci/inf/hcfv90_linux.inf

Configuring modem for country: "USA"
You can change this setting later with the command "hcfpciconfig --country"

This package does not contain pre-built modules suitable for your system:
Distribution: RedHat-7.3
Kernel arch: athlon
Kernel version: linux-2.4.18-3

Please obtain the appropriate variant of this package for your system
or try the generic RPM or tar version.
error: execution of %post scriptlet from hcfpcimodem-0.98mbsibeta02110300k2.4.18 _3-1rh failed, exit status 1

It doesnt work. Can someone point me to the *right* rpm I am supposed to use? And how to de-install any prior RPM's that were modem related incase of any conflicts.

Second issue
2) My sound card. It wants to detect it, but the modules fail to work. I have a sound blaster audigy plantium I think is the correct name, and I remember doing a search for any kind of drivers that would make it work but didnt come up with anything. Id like to know if anyone can get mine work

2: When the computer boots up, try opening a terminal and typing modprobe emu10k1 (as root) and then lsmod (that was a small L). If you see some sound stuff in there, try playing some sounds! If not, then you should check out these.

You are currently running kernel version 2.4.18-3, the source code should
be for this version.

I looked at the config its right but am I missing something? says the build directory doesnt exist, but there is a file that says build, but its not a directory.... what now?

it detects this via82cxxx_audio 20480 but when it goes to play a sample sound, theres no sound.

Do you have the kernel source installed?
