could not install broadcom netlink ethernet driver in Cent OS in lenevo G400 laptop
 

Well, i am using lenevo G400 laptop (dual core). Recently i install Cent OS which is just a rebuild version of redhat linux. Here i could not install the ethernet driver. My ethernet is Broadcom netlink(TM) fast ethernet . I downloaded the "tg3" driver and do as instructed in readme file but could not get it done.
My computer architecture as shown in device manager in Xp is

what is the result of lsmod. Is the driver loaded into the kernel?

here instead of wireless connectivity i am basically focused on ethernet connectivity

If no driver found, You probably did not done make install in tg3 directory.
