I have the printer on a win xp machine shared as hppsc120 and i have the lpd port opened and installed on the machine. On the linux side i have ldp://1.2.3.166/hppsc120. The linux machine will send the job and the windows machine will receive it, but it won't print. The printer makes a lot of noise but never sucks paper up to print. Any idea what's wrong. The same thing happened if i used smb://1.2.3.166/hppsc120

Thanks...it would be so much easier to plug that thing on my linux machine and share it the other way, but I'm determined to get windows to work.

I had identical issues with a HP PSC 1317, and I think its down to the PSC devices not taking straight postscript very well. The Hpijs drivers may help, but I ended up admitting defeat and getting the linux box to host it instead.
