Confused about AMD drivers
I have a Radeon R5 M330 on my HP Notebook with 2 GB dedicated graphics.
I am really confused as to what driver I should use. By default on Fedora 32 the xorg-ati open source driver is bundled.
But is there a closed source driver from AMD itself that I can use ?
The confusing part is that I keep hearing AMDGPU PRO is obsolete and not available for Linux anymore. Is that true ?
Are there any proprietary drivers from AMD for Linux for Radeon R5 M330 ?
Thanks.

Your GPU is a Hainan. It is supported by the open-source xf86-video-ati driver.
This driver works extremely well with my Pitcairn, which is a little older than your Hainan.
AMD makes a proprietary driver, but I am not feeling any need to run it because the open-source driver works so well. My experiences are on X.

I am on X too.
But the open source driver has a bunch of things in TODO.
Where can I find the proprietary driver ? I am confused about whether it is AMDGPU PRO or something else, AMD's site is not really clear.

My experience with AMD's closed-source driver was from over a decade ago. At that time, the open-source driver did not support my laptop's GPU.
You can try AMD's driver and report the results. I suspect that few people use the closed-source driver because it does not offer much benefit over the open-source driver.
