configuring x w/ usb mouse
I'm configuring X w/ xf86config, but I don't know what to put when prompted to input the location of my mouse in /dev. I have a usb optical mouse. /dev/modem doesn't work.

I'm not surprised that /dev/modem won't work
Try /dev/input/mice, or have a look at what /dev/mouse is a sym link to.

Please do not post the same thread in more than one forum. Picking the most relevant forum and posting it once there makes it easier for other members to help you and keeps the discussion all in one place.

I'm closing this thread as your other one has more responses.
Proud, when you see a double post can you click the "report this post" link in future?
Thanks.
