configuring winmodem in linux

I know this has been asked a lot, but its virtually impossible for me to find any written docs on my winmodem and my dad threw out the only doc on it. I want to know if i can use this modem in linux
Its a conexant 56k v.92 modem. It's internal and came with my emachines T1220 computer. If you can help it would be appreciated.

Checkout LinModems for information on how to get that working. The Conexant modem is covered there.

hsf conexant lin modem

then google for

"hsflinmodem-5.03.27.tar.gz "
and u will get that source

follow the guide inside that source
