Configuring PCMCIA 2 usb2.0 on slackware?

Does anybody knows is it possible and if it is, how to configure "pcmcia to usb2.0" card (USB2.0 CardBus PC Card) on the laptop. I use slackware 10.2. and on the lap I have 2 usb1.1 ports and I really need this card so badly. I hope that it's not the same problem as with winmodems thanks
p.s.
i saw that there is some similar threads but non of them explains how to configure it.

You shouldn't have to do any configuration if it is working properly, it should just start working.

Slackware 10.2 is very dated now compared to the Slackware 12 series, so hardware support is questionable. It could simply be that the device is not supported under the older kernel (or not supported well). What do the system logs say when you plug the card in, and what about the output of "lspci"?
