Not reliably. Gnome refused to see the card at all, along with any gstreamer application. A few applications would play sound over it but not enough. I decided to buy a new audio card but I got lucky and ended up working on some guys computer a day or two before I was going to go to the store and buy one.
It seemed that windows hated the pci audio card he had. he had ran the card for ages but suddenly windows refused to acknowledge that drivers were installed for the card even after reinstalling them. End up getting him a new audio card and the guy let me have the old card, it was no use to him after all. Linux has no issues with it. I'm too lazy to remove the side off the case but i believe it is a "Yamaha DS-XG". After some intense Internet searching I bumped into a driver unistallation tool for that card that must be ran before reinstalling that card's drivers OR a replacement audio card. Seems I maybe hearing from that guy again....better keep that program handy.
