Configuring a hp printer HELP!!!!!!!


i'm having problem setting up my deskjet 695c printer on my red hat.... i have read a lot of manual even the whole page www.linuxprinting.org, according to this site my printer works fine on my linux but i can[t make it work and i don[t know why???
Recently i noticed that when my red hat is loading up said that WARNING device /dev/lp0 doesn't exit....... plz helpppp!!!!!!!!

Where do you connect your printer? Which port?

well i connect the printer in my lp1 port but i gave the direccion to the linux i mean i put lp1 and lp0 ............... and nothing happend

help

Look if you have /dev/lp0 and /dev/lp1.

So it should be OK. Could you tell me what you've tried? Which prgrams you've used to configure it etc.
