configure dial up internet connection

im using Red Hat Linux 9

im new to linux pls someone be kind enough to tell me how to install my motorola SM56 pci modem i think the linux identify the modem when i plug it in and reboot ( a message appears new H/W found motorolla SM56 PCI modem )

i dont know how to set the internet connection and check the modem (something like quarey modem in the windows)

and how to configure my internet connection

pls tell me in details as im new to linux

i think my modem is already detected by the system i need to set up the internet connection
