Can anyone please help!! I have installed a Rockwell Connexant HSF Modem inot my PC.
I am running RedHat 7.1 .I used lspci to get the details-Rockwell Device 2013 Vendor 127A .I got the drivers from a link on the LinModems site and duly installed . I then ran the HSFconfig tool and it correctly idenfified my modem and set it up .Then I used RedHat dial up configuration tool to set up my ISP and log in etc , all fine so far .Used rp3 to dial my ISP and I was connected!! However ,my connection always drops after what seems like only a few mins ,I can log into my mail box and start recieving mail but my connection always drops .Is there any way to try to combat this problem?

Must be due to bad telephone connection.. check out all the connection cables and make sure that they are fastened well, if that doesnt solve the problem, try out some at commands for the modem, as the most remote possibilty ur motherboard may not like ur modem.. so try exchanging for another make hope tyhis helps
