I am currently running Gentoo and Debian, I have finally decided to step up from my old 500MHZ processor to something a little more powerfull.

I found this on Tigerdirect and I am seriously considering buying it:

I have never heard of the Motherboard, does anyone know whether this would be an educated buy. I do know I will have to update my installations, however I do not know whether Linux will work with this.

Any response would be helpfull, I guess..

Linux has matured to a point where you can bet most all motherboard/cpu combos will work, seeing as they are based on standards anyway. Just remember to get a good video card to go with it *cough*nvidia*cough* as it doesn't have an onboard one.

#cough* Umm, I already have a ATI Radeon 9600 256MB 128 Bit card ??
