Computer does not start after installing new NIC
Hiya!
This is not a Linux question per se, but I hope someone
will be able to give me some guidance.
I recently (i.e. yesterday) acquired a disused computer,
through a friend. I purchased a wireless PCI NIC
(LevelOne WNC-0300)for it and installed it this morning.
After the installation, the computer won't start at all.
I took great care in avoiding static charge buildup during
the installation, so I don't think that is the problem.
I did notice something strange inside the compy, though.
There was this switch that was depressed when removing the hull.
Said switch had two wires, connected to the motherboard.
I don't think I've ever seen something similar, but then
again, it's been a while since I've had to tinker with hardware.
As usual, any help is greatly appreciated.
EDIT: Problem solved, I had forgotten to flip a switch.
Classic, I know.
