Compucon 15" LCD monitor & Red Hat FC2 not at 1024x768

Hi

I have a Compucon A590st monitor & Red Hat FC2. I cannot get the monitor to go to 1024x768 75hz its manimum. In fact, i can only get it to run at 640x480 and it reports that it is running at 800x600.

I have the monitor setup up to a generic LCD 1024x768 and have modified the /ect/X11/xorg.conf to include a modes option fro "1024x768".

I think it has something to do with the HorizSync & VertRefresh that I currently have set at;

HorizSync 31.5 - 37.9
VertRefresh 40.0 - 70.0

However the monitor has to be at 75hz to run 1024x768.

What is the correct settings to get this going.

The card is a GD544x (cirrus) and certinly supports these resolutions.

Any comments would help.

Regards
Pal

try to run xf86config and set all the frequencyes to their basic values.
Then edit your XF86Config-4 to enable your resolution and see, if it works.
