completely erase disk cursor just blinks when boot

Hi, I tried doing a raid level 1 but I messed up the kernel. So I went back and formatted the disks with parted to make a msdos tabel to remove got and did to remove mbr. Than part ion like normal.

When I try to create luks with crypt setup it says /dev/sda3 is busy or in use. How should it be I'm use if formatted? I'm Trying shred now so hope that works.

Any ideas? I formatted with windows and bootmgr is missing so I said great went back and formatted. Rebooted and.. blinking cursor when trying to boot.

It should go to the CD considering nothing is on the disks.

Posted with phone sorry for errors

You may need to tell your BIOS that you want to boot from your CD before it tries booting from the HD. (For almost all BIOS, you can edit your settings by pressing either F1, F10, or DEL right after you power on your system. If you haven't disabled the BIOS boot screen, the correct key to use is often displayed (briefly) on the BIOS boot screen.)

If all else fails, you could physically disconnect the HD cables inside your computer. But only do that as a last resort - it's hard to do without damaging your system.
