Compiling NVidia kernel module under SuSE 9.1

I'm having some difficulty getting the NVidia kernel module compiled under SuSE 9.1. The install script reports a whole bunch of compiler errors similar to the following (from /var/log/nvidia-installer.log):

/tmp/selfgz6767/NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-5336-pkg1/usr/src/nv/nv.c:2010: error:
conflicting types for `nv_set_hotkey_occurred_flag'
/tmp/selfgz6767/NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-5336-pkg1/usr/src/nv/nv.h:350: error:
previous declaration of `nv_set_hotkey_occurred_flag'

How can I fix it?

Distro: SuSE 9.1 / Linux 2.6.4-54.5-smp (with the latest PWC/PWCX modules compiled in)
NVidia installer: 1.0-5336
CPU: Intel P4 3.0 with HyperThreading
Video: WinFast A360 (GeForce FX5700LE)
