Compatibility Question


Does anyone know if Ubuntu 7.04 is compatible with SATA Drives and the NVidia EN7600GT card.Your opinion will be appreciated.

For the Nvidia card: yes.
As for SATA: that may depend on the motherboard; up to and including Efty, anything involving the Jmicron controller gave rise to issues - although I seem to remember this affected only the alternate CD, not the live install cd. I have not tried Feisty yet.

Thanks for the prompt reply. I've been told in another forum that 7.04 supports all chipsets, and the NVidia card too. Thanks again. ( I'll have to check on the controller you mentioned, even though it doesn't affect me )
