compatibility

I work for the US Army and am considering Redhat Linux.

A computer was dropped on me:

Electronics Nexus Dual Opteron 250 2.4 GHz Tyan S2882

8GB memory 8x1gb 400 MHz DDR PC3200 registered ECC system memory

Upgrade 5 X 250 GB SATA 7200 RPM 8mb Cache

Upgrade to Supermicro SC743T-760R * X Hotswap HDD bays and triple redundant 760W PS combination

Raid 0,1,10,5 JBOD via 3ware 9500-8 controller card option

Is this computer compatible with Redhat Linux or SUSE 9.3

Of course YES. If you want to go with Redhat like distribution, Fedora Core 2 or Fedora Core 3. I do not suggest SUSE because nothing that you do in it is Linux.

BTW, that computer costs well over $10000. Lucky you.
