Unhappy Compaq RA4100 and cpqfc module not showing disks

I have a Compaq Storage RAID Array RA4100 with FC controller installed on a "clone" computer with Linux RH 8.0.

The FC controller in my computer is recognized, and the cpqfc.o module is loaded.

The RA4100 was not equipped with disks and/or hot swap trays (only the dummies are installed).
I have two WD 9.1Gb SE Ultra FW SCSI-3 disks with a 80-pin SCA interface (WDE9100-0008A6).
One of those disks I have "temporarily" installed in the RA4100, and I am sure that the connector is properly attached.

The output of the cpqfc module is the following:

scsi_register allocating 3788 bytes for FC HBA
ioremap'd Membase: f09c3000
HBA Tachyon RevId 1.2
Allocating 119808 for 576 Exchanges @ d4a00000

scsi: unknown type 12
Vendor: COMPAQ Model: ARRAY CONTROLLER Rev: 2.54
Type: Unknown ANSI SCSI revision: 02
resize_dma_pool: unknown device type 12

As you can see there is not a disk "recognized".
Is there something I still need to do, or do I need different disks.

Can anyone help me please?

Thanks,
Michael
