Colling your CPU the cheap way

Hi all!
I just figured out how to use the sensors and I find my CPU temp to average 48C and going as high as 59C under heavy load. Of course, it's slowing. And that is while I'm still getting 16C during the day (I'm up in Canada, my igloo just finished melting btw..). The days are getting warmer so is my CPU and the damn thing is heating my small badly ventilated room (and the roof of said igloo a month ago..)

I'm looking for a cheap, as in free or almost free (since I'll be living off peanut butter sandwiches for a while), way to cool my PC.

It's an PIII with a slotted CPU and this tiny fan running at 2045 rpm that my sensor, for a reason still unknown, just decided to stop monitoring.

Waiting for your suggestion.
And NO I can't move the PC to a better ventailated room.

well now, about 2 yrs ago I went to ebay and bought a whole box ( 60 total ) of 80mm fans.........I have 3 boxes and each box sports 3 of these fans to help air flow and keep the drives, video/sound cards, and CPU cool...........

What is cheap for you? If cheap ~50$, you could get an überfan (you know these big bad 80mm thing with gigantic heat seak include) that would do the job perfectly. A little ~10$ case fan always help too. Mycrobite has these two things, it won't be hard to find (if you want I could even give you adress).

Btw, where was your igloo in Montreal? Mine melted some months ago already. Maybe my neighborhood is "warmer"? :P

Or I could get this fan:

but my electric bill would go through the roof ;)

50$ would be about the limit a have for now. I am tempted to try a more exotic method of cooling my cpu though.

and igloos take more time to melt in the shadow of the olympic stadium :p
