Question collect data from the extreme 3D Pro joystick

Hello,

I just got the extreme 3D pro joystick and I would like to collect the data of the position of the joystick, but the drivers available on logitech website are only for Windows,
Does anyone know a driver that would allow to do this in linux ?
(I would like to collect the data to run some motors)

Thank you !

I think you would be ahead opening a new topic for your question. This thread was last used 17 years ago and certainly does not apply to modern software.

By "collect the data from" did you actually mean "respond to input from"?

Use SDL.

If you actually just meant "collect the data from", then you watch the devices nodes. /dev/input/js0 and/or /dev/input/event17 or other numbers.

You don't need "drivers". You just plug the joystick in.

I interpret the question from the OP as meaning
Code:
use the joystick to control motors
Which would mean they need to be able to read the values and further modify them for their use.

Their program seems to need to be able to access the joystick input for control.

AFAICT the joystick is supported by linux but they need an app to access it.
