CMedia Usb Headset 43-203 Not available through preferences

I have ubuntu netbook remix Jaunty Jackalope on an hp-mini 1030nr.

This is my lsusb:

Bus 002 Device 002: ID 0d8c:000c C-Media Electronics, Inc. Audio Adapter

I can't block the usb line from my alsa-base.conf section because the usb line is not even there. Any suggestions?
