Not a RAID controller, but I have a CMD 0649 UltraATA 100 PCI IDE Controller (same chip, but different BIOS) working OK with Mandrake 9.1 (kernel 2.4.21-0.13mdk). It has no troubles with WinME or Linux.

in linux, the cmd card detect as ide controller, instead of raid controller. but in bios, it can configure to raid. how to get the raid function in linux? any driver?

I'm using RH9 with a CMD 649 RAID controller.

I had the same problem, tinkered round in the BIOS and managed to get the mirroring working. Then, unfortunately, Linux complained about duplicate mount points on the second drive and failed to mount them.

I have tried a number of things including the suggestion of altering the jumper (JP2 according to CMD) that puts the device into native mode.
