Close Cdrom from command line?


To open cdrom from command line it's pretty simple, just type "eject"

Is there a way to close cdrom from command line?

According to the eject manpage:
eject -t

For me, "eject -t" didn't work right away. I had to give the device option with it: "eject -t /dev/cdrom".

make a fun script

eject
eject -t
eject
eject -t
eject
eject -t


run it as a cron job for while you're gone at lunch.
before leaving tell everybody you think your computer
is possessed.

or just
sleep 20m;eject;eject -t;eject;eject -t
in the terminal for the less script inclined.
