cloning hard drive question (s)

Hi !everyone, a few years ago i cloned a of couple hard drives u sing the dd command : dd if=/dev/sda of=/dev/sdb bs=32256

I am wondering if the same method will work with the newer laptops-uefi and 64 bits etc.

My previous cloning attempts ( successful) were all with 32 bits laptops. Today's Bios are a little bit more complicated for me anyways.

From what i read, it seems the '' bs=32256'' would have to to be something else, 64k or something for speeding the copying-cloning process.

I got a bit lost reading the said info on sourceforge i think. So if anyone has already cloned a newer system HD, would be very helpful.

These days when I clone a drive I usually use Clonezilla:

http://clonezilla.org/

It's faster, easier and more flexible than dd IMHO.
