Having trouble installing a piece of hardware? Want to know if that peripheral is compatible with Linux?

CIK AMD Sea Islands nick

Web search attempts are frustrating me. AMD's Sea Islands graphics cmdline parameters are referred to as cik, such as radeon.cik_support=0 and amdgpu.cik_support=1. The only "Sea Islands" I've found are those off the SE coast of USA. The only match to CIK I've found is Christmas Island Kiribati, which is in the south Pacific. Anyone know why Sea Islands GPUs are referred to as cik?
