Charging notebook over USB-C not working

Hello, recently i bought a power bank to recharge my notebook. But whenever I plug it in the notebook it starts charging the power bank. I did some research and found that it could be tcpm module (/usr/lib/modules/5.7.0-amd64/kernel/drivers/usb/typec/tcpm/tcpm.ko) to do the trick. But when I try to load the module it says that it couldn't import module because of "unknown symbol in module". And just to be clear both my notebook and power bank are compatible to do it. But it only happens when notebook is off. In a nutshell: Is there a way to make my notebook charge over USB-C when I'm in Linux?

Thank you for any help.

The power supplies I'm familiar with won't do that. Usually they have two ports - one for charging from AC, and a different one for output. Are you sure you're connecting to the correct port on the bank?

Yes, Iam sure it has only one usb-c port and it is for both input and output.

So how does it know whether it's supposed to charge or be charged? You may need to read the manual for the bank. The problem is there, not with the laptop, IMO.

FYI: https://www.digitaltrends.com/comput...ing-via-usb-c/

I know nothing.... A quick google search provides very little information on how the type c port manager works. It might depend on how the system recognizes the port/device or even cable and if it should be configured as a source or sink device. If the battery is not recognized as a power delivery (PD) device like a plug in wall charger it might not switch states. When the laptop is off it automatically defaults to input.
