changing MB and V-card

Well .. haven't yet changed them, but already have few questions just to know:
1)When changing motherboard - will I have to recompile/reinstall anything or it will change automatically to new one (changing only to get DDR. Now MB is with SD only.)?
2)same question about video card (Change from GF MX440 to FX 5600 or something like that)
I guess it's pretty lame question but still.. don't want to screw up system

If your not changing arch's you should be fine.

Areas that can cause you problems are changing video card manufacturers (your likely setup to use the nvidia driver which wouldn't work if you swapped out your nvidia card with a ATI card), changing the harddrive controller type (going from PATA to SATA or SCSI would cause boot problems), and changing architectures.
