Change my primary soundcard

I recently installed Fedora Core 2 on my computer (dual boot XP, FC2) and i have two soundcards, my onboard (intel 82801DB, and Soundblaster Live Audigy) i can get sound from both of them thru ALSA, but i want my onboard (intel) soundcard to be the primary one that linux uses for all apps, ive gotten xmms to do this (fairly simple) but for things like Xine (totem frontend), Rhythmbox, etc i want to be able to use my intel soundcard for them, and perhaps even use the SPDIF optical out on my motherboard to hook up to my stereo system like i do in widoze, if anyone can help me that would be great, im still a newb btw, thanx

If you are using ALSA drivers, this will be easy as editing a few lines. Post your /etc/modules.conf. Another way is to change /dev/dsp to /dev/dsp2 in OSS programs.

I looked in my /etc folder, there is no modules.conf. I have a default-modules.conf, extra-modules.conf and an ssl-modules.conf, so, theres nothing to edit, sorry if this is a newb question
