Center speaker not working, SB audigy

I just barely recieved a set of 5.1 speakers, creative inspire to be exact, and the sound plays well enough out of the left and right speakers, however no sound comes out of the central speaker. The sub woofer is also very quiet, although it emits a little sound. The center channel cable seems to be hooked from the sub to the audigy correctly.
I was using a 4-speaker set before I hooked up the 5.1 system. Anyone know what I can run to configure my sound card to send audio to the central speaker?

Nevermind. In fedora, I just ran the "Sound Card Detection" in the system settings from the gnome menu, then re-opened XMMS and the center speaker just started to work.
