CDROM Troubles

Hello all,

I have what I hope will be a simple problem for the experts.
I recently had to reinstall RedHat 7.2. Upon completion of the installation, I realized that I could not mount the CDROM.
So, I re-installed again...with the same results.
I get the error message:

/dev/cdrom is not a valid block device.

I have tried from the command prompt, KDE, and Gnome.

fstab lists the cdrom.
In KDE, the cdrom is listed in the block device file.

Using the same computer, (with a removable harddrive bay), I dusted off the windows harddrive, fired it up, and there was the CDROM no problems.

Prior to my re-installation of 7.2, I had no problems with the CDROM.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Mike

Worked like a charm!

Thank you

PS: Will I have to use that command always, or is once enough?
