Angry cdrom trouble

Hi All!

Recently, I got trouble with my CD-recorder and DVD drive. I get a long list of error messages during the boot process (booting therefore takes very long) and then no /dev/cdrecorder or /dev/cdrom device nodes exist. Therefore, I cannot mount cdrom. Unfortunately, I can not tell exactly when the problem occured first, but I changed several things in the YAST runnlevel editor, and installed additional modules etc. However udev and autofs are running.
Both drives were working before under the same linux installation, and still work fine with windows on the same system. Therefore I can exclude hardware failures.
I use Suse Linux 10.1, with kernel 2.6.16.13-4-default.

Thank You for sharing your time!

Here is the relevant sector of my /var/log/messages (unfortunately mixed with some other stuff):
