CDROM issues
Hi all;
I am running SUSE 8.1 I just installed it from a PCMCIA CDROM and the install went ok although I had to do a 'manual' install and manually load the driver.
Now that the system is up it doesn't recognize the pcmcia cdrom which isn't all that bad since I mostly use a USB CDRW anyway. When I boot with the USB CDRW attached SUSE see's it fine and gives me a nice little icon on the desktop for it.
Heres the problem:
the USB device is /dev/sr0 mounted at /media/sr0
for data CD's this is fine however ALL the installed music players automatically look for a device at /dev/cdrom mounted at /media/cdrom. So when I try tp play a music
CD the player never see's the /dev/sr0 device.
How can I change the system (and specifically the
media/cdrom players) to look for /dev/sr0 ?
I already changed the installation source to /dev/sr0
Thanks for your help...
