cdrecord, KonCD, gtoaster - no/wrong disk

Hello everyone, first timer here, hoping someone can help out.

I have a Norcent burner on a RH 7.3 machine.

When I try to create a data CD (or any CD) using cdrecord, KonCD or gtoaster I get the same error.

No Disk / Wrong Disk!

And yes I have tried several new disks. cd/r and cd/rw

I run a cdrecord -scanbus and the device is recognized as a writer and is assigned a scsi ID of 0,0,0.

My lilo.conf file contains the proper entry for scsi emulation and lsmod displays ide-scsi as being loaded.

Anyone have any experience with this issue? Thanks
