I seem to have done something as after using the cd-rom it will not eject either with the eject button on the front or through right click-eject. It use to work. What have I done?

i think you have given
mount command and forgot umount cdrom ..
otherwise just restart system

Try typing eject

To retract the cd-rom tray, type eject -t

Also, if you have a process running that is keeping the cd-rom mounted, you'll need to stop that process first.

I forgot to say I get an error message "eject/dev/cdrom failed"
