Cant mount partition

Ok, so my windows hard drive that is ntfs, its mounted do /windows or something, but ne ways, i can get to it on root, but under my user account i cannot. i go into root to try and change permissions, and it tells me permissions cant be changed for protocol devives, can someone tell me wtf is up? lol thanks.

add user and umask=000 to your options in fstab for the ntfs entry
