cant get linux to recognize my dvd player


I have tried for days looking for information on getting my dvd player to be recognized by linux suzie. Can anyone help?

I assume you mean a DVD-ROM drive? What interface does it use, USB, IDE, SATA?

Also, this question would be more suitable in the "Hardware" forum.
